后山村属福州市晋安区新店镇，为行政村，城乡分类为主城区。村又称厚山村，因境内依山傍水、山水深长，旧称厚清山，后简称厚山。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村地在唐代属闽县，两宋至元及明中叶归怀安县，明末以后并入侯官县，清末为侯官县西园区的一部分；民国年间隶闽侯（林森）县五区。[1][2]

1949年末村地划入洪山区，1952年末改属新店区。1955年新店区撤区建乡，村地属西园乡；1960年重建新店区，村属温泉公社。1975年属福州郊区，1977年一度属蔬菜区和环城区，1982年8月回归郊区。1984年废社建乡，设后山村委会，隶郊区新店乡；1992年起隶新店镇，1995年起隶晋安区新店镇。[2]
