新港街道位于福州市台江区东部，东面隔晋安河与晋安区相望，北面隔琼东河与鼓楼区水部街道相望，西面与茶亭、洋中、后洲等街道接壤。[1][2]

街道办事处于1956年11月设立，辖区河道与干道纵横，古迹较多，其中明清时期的柔远驿、由清代耿王庄改建的南公园，以及路通桥和河口万寿桥两座古石桥较为知名。[3][5][6][7]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，明弘治十一年（1498年）督泊邓太监开凿了一条人工河道，名为「直渎新港」，地名即由辖区内的新港河而来。[2]

街道办事处于1956年11月设立，至1990年辖有中选、新港、达东、十三桥、龙津、路通等16个居民委员会。[3] 1996年1月，市行政区划调整，连潘新村等4个居委会划归晋安区，达东、玉树、金垱3个居委会划归洋中街道；原属福州郊区台江镇的南公村委会与原属鼓楼区水部街道的龙庭居委会划入，并新增中港居委会。[3]

2001年，原居委会与村委会重新组合为10个社区居委会；2006年7月调整为7个，2014年8月整合为现在的5个社区。[3]

地理环境[edit]

琼东河、晋安河、达道河等内河贯穿辖区。陆路上，五一路、六一路、国货路与群众路纵横交错，构成街道的主要干道。[1]

台江区人民政府网2022年3月发布的街道概况给出的数字是：居民10466户，人口28768人。[1]

经济[edit]

街道商贸经济较为发达，以数码电子和珠宝玉石两类商业为特色。五一路一带的大利嘉城是数码电子商圈的中心，六一路的特艺城与光明桥珠宝玉石城则形成珠宝玉石商圈。[4]

名胜古迹[edit]

柔远驿

柔远驿位于台江区琯后街21号，全称「进贡厂柔远驿」，民间称琉球馆，始建于明成化八年（1472年）。[7][8]

琉球国贡使抵达福州后，一般先住在柔远驿，然后进京朝见皇帝。[7]

1981年福州与日本那霸市缔结友好城市后，福州市政府开始修缮保护柔远驿；1992年修复完成，辟为福州对外友好关系史博物馆。1996年，它被确定为福建省级文物保护单位。[7][8][9]

馆内陈列中琉交往的文物，院内放置有数十方葬于福州的古代琉球人墓碑。[7][9]

「柔远」二字取自《尚书·舜典》中的「柔远能迩」。[7]

南公园

南公园原为明末的私家园林「绘春园」。清顺治十七年（1660年），靖南王耿继茂从广州来福州后将其辟为别墅，称「耿王庄」，园中楼宇有桑柘馆、藤花轩、望海楼、荔枝亭等。[6][10][11]

耿继茂于1671年去世，长子耿精忠承袭靖南王爵，因自号「南公」，园名仍称耿王庄。耿精忠随吴三桂起兵反清，兵败被处死，园林被官府收回。[6][10]

1866年，闽浙总督左宗棠在园中设桑棉局，推广蚕桑。民国四年（1915年）辟为公园，因位于城南，名为「城南公园」，俗称「南公园」。[6][10][11]

园东隅建有黄花岗烈士祠，东侧另有左公祠，纪念左宗棠。[6]

南公园被列为区级文物保护单位。[1][10]

河口万寿桥

河口万寿桥位于新港街道万寿路11号一带的河道上，此前身为明正德七年（1512年）修建的尚公桥。[12][13]

康熙七年（1668年）起，由鼓山涌泉寺的道霈方丈倡议改建为石桥；工程交与僧人成源主持募缘，次年十二月竣工，桥改称「万寿桥」。[12][13]

桥为三孔石板梁桥，长34.90米，宽3.00米。明清时期琉球国进贡船在此停泊上岸，桥也是进贡厂遗址的标志。[12]

1983年曾定为市级文保单位，2018年入选第九批福建省级文保名录。[12][13]

路通桥

路通桥是横跨路通河的石构拱桥，桥身长30.7米，桥顶宽3.6米，北端附近有路通庵。[14][15]

相传唐贞观年间由程咬金督建。据百度百科，现存桥体实建于宋，在福州地区现存的宋代石拱桥中保存得最为完整。[15]

明弘治十六年（1503年）由福州市舶太监刘广重建，清道光九年（1829年）再次重建。[14][15]

1992年被定为市级文保单位，2018年入选第九批福建省级文保名录。[14][15]
