地理环境[edit]
钱江通道横穿村域，水陆交通便利。全村设16个村民小组，农户552户，耕地面积1685亩。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
这一带原是钱塘江南岸的滩涂，约200年前淤涨成陆，绍兴盐民迁来晒盐，之后开垦定居，渐成村落。[1]
1949年5月后，此地属党湾乡的第十村之一；农业合作化时，新联、前进两社成立。人民公社后两社并为新前大队，属党湾公社。1984年改称新前村，属党湾乡；1989年后改属党湾镇。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年5月，村庄被命名为「萧山区2020年度平安村（社区）」；2021年12月，被命名为「2021年浙江省卫生村」；2022年1月，入选「浙江省2021年度省级民主法治村（社区）」名单。[1]
