东社村隶属浙江省杭州市萧山区瓜沥镇，位于坎山片中部，南邻坎山集镇，北靠杭甬高速，毗邻八柯线。村名来历：古庙东侧蓍草庵四周分别称东社、南社、西社、北社，本村在草庵东面，故名。[1][2]

区政府网站2022年概况：全村12个村民小组、1个非农小组，本村户籍1924人，在册党员88人，辖区约1450亩。区域内设农贸市场、文化礼堂、老年活动中心与银行等服务单位，商铺和企业众多。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国属坎山镇四、五保；1949年5月后划为坎山镇五村；1955年办红星、建新初级社，1957年转为红星高级社；1958年人民公社成立后改由新华管理区红星生产大队管辖；1981年称东社大队；1984年定名东社村；2014年划归瓜沥镇。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年5月获评萧山区2020年度平安村（社区）。[2]
