西兴社区位于滨江区最东端，紧临萧山区，是西兴街道驻地，也是西兴的经济与文化中心。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区因原驻地在西兴（自然镇）而得名。2007年6月撤村建居，社区由花园徐、韩家里、陈家弄、蒋家塔、坟里陈等十个传统自然村和一个农村多层住宅小区组成，以世居居民为主。[1]

社区党委成立于1998年，下设一个党总支、六个党支部。[1]

社区辖区面积2.5平方公里，分为13个居民小组，共666户。全社区常住人口为2539人，流动人口为3508人。[1]
