西兴街道是浙江省杭州市滨江区下辖的街道，位于滨江区东部，北临钱塘江，东与萧山相邻，滨江区政府也设在境内。[1][5]街道因古镇西兴得名。西兴古称固陵、西陵，西兴古镇是浙东运河的起点，镇上的老街与过塘行建筑群是街道主要的历史遗存。[4][6]

历史沿革[edit]

西兴古称固陵、西陵。后梁乾化二年（912年）因“陵”字不吉，改称西兴。[1][5]

元代在此设西兴场，明代设西兴驿。清宣统二年（1910年）出现西兴乡之名，这是现代政区设置的开端。1928年起称西兴里；1949年夏改为西兴乡，1954年5月又改为西兴镇。1961年7月此地成为人民公社，1965年2月更名东方红人民公社。1984年5月，西兴乡的建制得以重新确立，1985年4月撤乡设镇，镇名仍为西兴。[1]

1996年12月12日，此地划归滨江区。2003年12月3日，西兴镇撤销，设立西兴街道。[1]

街道总面积约17.6平方公里。[1]百度百科作17.3平方公里。[3]北部建有奥体博览城和物联网产业园，南面有白马湖生态创意城，中部临北塘河，西兴老街历史保护区也在这一带。[2]

博雅地名网列出的数字是：居住在街道内的常住者有87032人，另有37656名流动人口，该网站未注明统计年份。[2]百度百科则以2011年末为时点，给出总人口6.04万人。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

西兴老街长约1500米，西起铁陵关，东至古资福桥，沿街保留着晚清建筑、石桥、牌坊、街亭和河埠头。[6]杭州市划定的十大历史保护街区中，西兴老街位列其中。[2]

铁陵关位于古镇西北角，原在西兴小学内，是固陵城的关隘，博雅地名网称其有「浙东第一关隘」之誉。五代时吴越王增筑此关以观潮，取名玩江楼；明代改称镇海楼。[1]

西兴过塘行码头与建筑群：运河与钱塘江不相通，往来船只需在西兴靠岸，由挑夫把货物运过海塘，再装船渡江，过塘行便是替客商办理这一转运的行号。这一建筑群在2013年3月得到全国文物保护单位的认定，此后于2014年6月进入世界遗产名录。[6][7]

古资福桥位于西兴古镇内，桥西原有吴越时期的古资福寺，桥因寺得名，俗称「和尚桥」。清乾隆十八年（1753年）重修，为单孔石桥，桥身长近十五米，宽约四米。[1]

西兴古镇保存着两条街与一条河的格局，以及木结构的江南水乡建筑群。古代这里是两浙的门户，也是浙东运河入境后的第一座驿站。[4]
