金沙社区是西湖街道下辖的社区（博雅地名网写作金沙港社区），位于西湖风景名胜区的核心一带，成立于2001年3月。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，1950年前后这一带设有金沙港乡，与龙井、三台山、茅家埠三乡并立。[3]

社区于2001年3月成立，范围从东面的杨公堤起，南抵丁家山，西靠北高峰，北止于灵隐路。[1]

文化[edit]

社区先后被评为杭州市「科普文明社区」「十佳特色社区」，并获浙江省「绿色社区」称号。[2]
