人民社区位于杭州市上城区采荷街道西部。社区南至采荷路，北至庆春东路，西邻凯旋路，东达庆菱路。[1]

名称与历史[edit]

社区名称来自当地的人民新村。博雅地名网载，1983年杭州市在此修建人民新村，1986年又增建住宅楼群27幢，仍沿用人民新村的名字。社区于2001年3月设立。[1]

辖区概况[edit]

社区住宅共39幢、107个单元，常住人口八千余人；此外设有写字楼1幢。采荷饭店与市福彩中心，以及四季青供销合作社，同处辖区之内。[1]

社区获得区扶残助残爱心社区的称号，另有市文明社区与市和谐社区等，并为省老龄工作规范化社区。[1]
