历史沿革[edit]
此地处于覆船山脉的横边，又有畲族居民，畲字同輋，因此得名横輋。[3]
1958年此地为横輋大队，1983年改称横輋乡，1987年设横輋管理区，1999年由县政府批准成立村委会，沿用至今。[2]
文化[edit]
2026年1月，横輋村获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
2019年10月，横輋村入选「2019年广东省卫生村」名录；同年12月又列入「第一批国家森林乡村」名单。[1]
