1958年这里设兰溪大队，1983年改为兰溪乡，1987年改为兰溪管理区。1999年，县政府批准成立兰溪村委会，延续至今。[1]

2020年8月，兰溪村入选广东省首批“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村，主打西施柚。[1]
文化[edit]
2024年3月，兰溪村获评「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
