地名由来与沿革[edit]
村名取自当地的峨热竹。方言称其叶为「若叶」，「坝」泛指地方，合起来指长有若叶的坝地[1]。
建制上，1958年为大队，1983年改设乡，1987年改为管理区，1999年东源县政府同意设立村委会，此后未变[1]。
名胜古迹[edit]
陵园建于1959年，2006年重修，占地约3036平方米。上山有280多级台阶，山顶纪念碑下安葬有烈士遗骨。两侧的纪念亭，是为纪念包括中共特派员周立群在内的54名烈士而立[2]。
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，若坝村进入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；同年10月，被列为「2019年广东省卫生村」[1]。
