地名由来[edit]
相传这里的池塘里曾有人养鹅，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1999年设立鹅塘村村民委员会，村级建制延续至今。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2026年1月，村子获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」称号。2023年5月，广东省爱卫会授予村子「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[3]
温泉与故居[edit]
村内有温泉资源。[4]
曾源故居在鹅塘村。曾源（1917年5月－2008年4月），原名曾镜湖，和平县大坝人，1938年10月入党，抗战时期任东江纵队政委，建国后任茂名市委书记、市长。[5][6]
