历史沿革[edit]
据村情页，元代至正年间（1341年—1368年）袁姓人家从饶平迁来立村，因田地肥沃、家家有余粮，称余粮坑，1951年改名余里。明代这里属三河旧寨社的东门埔，清代并入陈金村一带；1958年成为公社的陈金大队的一部分。[1]
经济[edit]
全村分8个村民小组，在册195户、635人，总面积10平方千米，耕地412.5亩（村情页，未注明年份）。主要作物是蜜柚，兼种蔬菜、西瓜，劳务收入是特色收入；页面称上一年农村经济总收入583万元。[1]
荣誉[edit]
- 2019年9月，入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
余里古窑址是元代的古遗址，梅州市人民政府在2015年2月5日把它列入第三批市级文保单位。百度百科称窑址属龙泉窑系，用圆形倒焰窑露坯叠烧。[2][3]
