该村在1961年设大队，当时写作“蓝滘”；此后建乡（1984年3月）、改设村民委员会（1987年1月）和管理区（1989年10月），到1999年5月更为现名。博雅地名网载明的现名是“南窖”，而国家统计局的区划名单（经维基百科转载）仍写“蓝滘”，两者应指同一个村。[1]
2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予该村（博雅地名网写作南窖村）「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
