历史沿革[edit]
此处原是平山公社的平山大队（1961年）；1983年归平山区平山乡，1986年11月成为平山乡的农村管理区，1988年5月随乡改镇；1995年8月3日成立平山镇居民委员会，延续到现在[1]。
平山社区列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单，公布于2019年9月[1]。
