新梅村是广东省湛江市吴川市王村港镇下辖的行政村，西南与茂名市茂港区的小良镇相邻[1]。辖11条自然村，其中1条是革命老区；总人口6900人、1100多户，面积6.5平方公里，是镇内最大的行政村[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
新梅在1952年是梅茂县第二区（覃巴）王村港乡的行政村，翌年随区划归吴川县。1957年成为覃巴区王村港乡的新梅小乡，1958年是覃巴公社的新梅大队，1961年划入王村港小公社，1979年转属王村港公社。其后1983年设乡委会，1987年称村委会，1989年定名新梅村委会[2]。
地理与经济[edit]
耕地4210多亩；地形以丘陵山地为主，间有农田，沿海有防护林带和滩涂[1]。种植水稻、花生、番薯、木薯、果蔗，以及香蕉、荔枝、龙眼等水果；渔业有海洋捕捞和对虾养殖；工业有塑料制品、针织手套、木材加工和体育器材。村内建有万亩葵业基地[1]。大王公路和大王线公路经过村内，后者通向325国道[1]。
教育[edit]
村内有新梅小学和郑屋小学[1]。
