沿革[edit]
辖区的土地原属平山村和塘朗村，是耕地、荔枝林与坟地。[1] 深圳市决定创办大学城是在2000年10月，工程2002年起步、2003年竣工，社区居委会则在2004年设立。[1][2]
现状[edit]
范围东北到丽水路，西北到西丽湖路，西到西丽水库排洪渠，南到大学城西校区。[1] 区内有西湖林语、桑泰丹华、丽岛、学城绿园、德意名居等小区，以及北京大学、清华大学、哈尔滨工业大学在深圳的研究生院、南方科技大学和中科院的科研机构；总人口约1.85万人，其中户籍人口5500人。[1]
