历史沿革[edit]
北头村历来属宝安县南头管辖，村民以种果树和下海养蚝为业。1958至1961年辖区属西海人民公社，1962至1964年属蛇口人民公社，1965年起归南头人民公社，后转由南山区管辖。[1]1992年深圳特区推行农村城市化，北头村委会改为居委会；2001年，北头居委会并入华联居委会辖区，合称北头社区居民委员会，一直沿用。[1]
经济[edit]
村民“离海上岸”后，经济模式从渔业转向股份公司经营。北头村与南山村、向南村、大新新村并称南山旧改“F4”；据中新网报道，北头村有500多年历史，城市更新项目于2008年首次纳入年度计划，2011年专项规划获批，2024年7月规划修改获批，2026年1月进入行政调解阶段。[3]
文化[edit]
社区在2022年8月被认定为「第二批深圳市绿色（宜居）社区」，另据博雅地名网，社区曾获「全国先进基层党组织」「全国文化先进社区」等荣誉。[1]
