名称与历史[edit]
村起初建在山岗脚下，「下」与「厦」同音，写成了岗厦。[1] 社区的说法是，约七百年前文天祥自江西起兵抗元，其后裔有一部分分散到赣、湘、粤等地，来到宝安的一支形成了岗厦村。[1] 百度百科则说村建于元朝，至今六百八十余年，旧称「冈下村」，世居村民姓文，都是文天祥后人，讲粤方言。[2]
1992年8月，岗厦村村委会改制为居委会；到2002年居改社，才有了岗厦社区居委会。[1]
经济与人口[edit]
岗厦实业股份有限公司于1983年成立。[2] 2015年末，村里户籍人口1197人，外来人口超过6万。[2] 社区自述居住人员约10.5万人，户籍人员5700人。[1]
荣誉[edit]
岗厦社区在2022年3月被认定为深圳市首批绿色（宜居）社区。[1]
