名称与历史[edit]
此地原是四面环水的小村，名字由此而来。[1] 据百度百科，明洪武年间，庄敬德的四世祖庄孟斋与儿子庄润迁来筑围建村，围门两侧写有「水环四壁、围昌万年」的联句；流经村旁的皇岗河如今已改入地下。[2]
城市化改制在1992年10月进行，原村委会改设水围龙秋、水围街口两个居委会，并成立水围实业股份有限公司；两个居委会在2002年6月合并，成为水围社区居委会。[1]
人口[edit]
社区称有户籍人口2632人，暂住人口将近2.6万，设物业小区7个。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
水围雅石博物馆在2005年11月7日启用，展厅450平方米，陈列各地奇石200多件。[1] 水围龙秋村的龙秋古井，相传由明初立村的庄氏父子开凿，今天的建筑是清代留下的。[3]
荣誉[edit]
2022年8月，水围社区被认定为深圳市第二批绿色（宜居）社区。[1]
