名称与村史[edit]
巴登又称巴墩，是上步村的自然村之一，原名「壆下墩」，当地围头话快读成「巴墩」。[2]宝安县第一任县委书记郑奭南是巴登村人。[2]埔尾原写作「埗尾」，由郑氏十二世祖郑梅迁来形成，因位置离上埗码头较远而得名，后改写为「埔尾」。[2]
人口与设施[edit]
据博雅地名网所载，社区有出租屋231栋7264套，共21729人，户籍1980人，流动人口19749人；辖区内有埔尾股份分公司、巴登物业管理处和上步小学，商场和门店共515间。[1]2022年3月，社区被认定为首批深圳市绿色（宜居）社区。[1]
城中村治理[edit]
2026年，巴登社区党委在巴登村实行围合管理。巴登村居住近2万人，此前村里常年积压两三千辆电动自行车，巷道最窄处只容一人侧身而过；社区逐一研判130多个巷道出入口，采取窄巷封闭、主街保持通行、车辆在外围集中停放的办法。[3]
