历史沿革[edit]
1958年设东红大队，1983年设乡政府，1987年为村委会，1989年为管理区，1998年设村委会，沿用至今。[1]
经济[edit]
「百千万工程」开展以来，东红村以「春赏花、夏品果、绿满东红」为目标，通过规划建绿、拆墙透绿、立体植绿等方式推进绿美乡村建设，已建成「美丽庭院」12户。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2021年12月获2021年广东省卫生村称号；2024年4月，列入广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村创建名单；同年11月，确定为广东省「美丽庭院」特色村；2025年3月，获第七届全国文明村镇命名。[1]乐昌市政府的市情介绍也提到东红村获评全国文明村。[2]
