村名由来[edit]
相传元至大三年（1310年），邓姓自英德县迁来此处落户。两河汇合处小河沟很多，像地面裂开的缝，“烈”与“裂”谐音，村名由此而来[2]。
经济与人口[edit]
村域总面积4832亩，耕地1578亩；全村408户1536人（人口为博雅地名网所载）[1]。村民外出务工，农作物有水稻、花生、西瓜、香芋，也养猪[1]。近年村里发展兰花产业，大棚200多亩，种有42个品种，种苗和成品销往珠三角及全国各地，村集体年收入超过20万元[3]。
荣誉[edit]
2026年3月，烈村入选「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」[1]。
