龙化村是铁龙镇的行政村，名称源于1958年集体化时期设立的龙化大队。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1958年，铁龙响应集体化号召，取「铁龙」的「龙」字加「集体化」的「化」字，设立龙化大队，同时设立的还有龙集、龙体两个大队。另有说法称此地旧时盛产龙眼，古称龙眼洞。改革开放后大队改称龙化管理区，1993年改称龙化村。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2020年5月，龙化村被命名为韶关市2020年市级「民主法治村（社区）」；2021年9月，列入广东省农业农村厅公布的第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单，主导产业为百香果。[1]
