社区内的永安堂在沿江西路149号，是侨领胡文虎在20世纪30年代生产和销售虎标万金油的地方，所在地原为海珠公园。[1]社区获得过「广州市2021年绿色社区」和「2024年广州市充分就业社区」的认定。[1]
