万车村是连州镇的一个行政村，村委会驻于万车街，村名取自驻地所在的街名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明末，石氏始祖迁入本村一带，形成村委最早的村落；之后李、赖、陈等姓氏陆续迁入。[2]

1958年公社化后，万车属连州公社万车生产大队；1961年分设万车公社，原大队分为两个大队；1963年万车公社并回连州公社；1983年两个大队合并设万车乡，隶属连州区；1986年11月改设万车村民委员会，1989年5月改设万车管理区，1998年9月恢复为村民委员会，称万车村民委员会。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

必名李公祠位于大乐村，建于雍正二年（1724年），坐东向西，为三进的清早期祠堂建筑，用料考究。该祠2011年2月列入「第四批罗定市文物保护单位」。[3]

李庸将军祠同在大乐村，建于民国时期，列入「第五批罗定市（县）级文物保护单位」。[4][5]

文化[edit]

2023年4月，本村列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单。2026年1月，万车村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
