古榄村是连州镇的一个行政村，村名取自最早的村落所在的古榄河畔。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1958年公社化之后，古榄地方划归连州公社，并组成古榄生产大队。1983年该大队改为乡，归连州区领导；三年后乡制取消，改称村民委员会。1989年又改为管理区，1999年重新以村委会的名义运作。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
古榄石灰窑址在墟头村一侧的古榄河畔，由一排11座大窑组成。原料石灰石采自后山，燃料草料则由船只从新榕运入。明清时期罗定州城的建造，所用石灰及砖瓦多出自此地，再沿河运往城区。该窑址于2011年2月列入「第四批罗定市文物保护单位」。[3]
