高竹村是榃滨镇西北部的行政村，村名由境内两个自然村各取一字而成。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1365年，梁氏先祖崇高公自泷水县迁入，成为本村委最早落居的一支。[2]

1958年公社化后，此处属榃滨公社的榃滨生产大队；1961年分出，另设高竹大队。1983年改设高竹乡，1986年改为村委会，1989年设管理区，1999年恢复村委会名称。[2]

1993年获认定为革命老区。[2]
