马路村建于1567年，初称马路，属泷水县；建村后，陈、梁两姓相继迁入。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

清代这里属罗定州城东南乡，民国期间归罗定县第六区。1950年改隶第二区（苹塘区），1953年5月转归第十区（围底区）管辖，1956年11月改归苹塘区。[2]

1983年撤销大队，隶属华石区；1986年11月撤乡后设立村委会，归华石乡管辖。1989年2月起划入华石镇，同年5月村委会改为管理区，1998年5月恢复称村委会。[2]

文化[edit]

2023年4月，马路村列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单。[1]
