榃西村位于罗定市罗平镇。村委会设在榃感圩之西，村名由此而来。约于明洪武二十六年（1393年）落户建村，隶属泷水县五都。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清代属罗定州五都永阜乡。清末至民国，村地先后归罗定县第六区的围底团、榃感乡管辖；1942年起归第二区的榃感乡，1950年起改归第四区榃感乡。[2]

1958年上半年划入罗平乡的榃感合作社，同年下半年转入东风公社。1961年6月东风公社撤销后，村地设立生产大队，1974年7月并入罗平公社，改称榃西生产大队。[2]

1983年撤大队，设榃西乡；1986年改为村民委员会，1989年设管理区，1993年获评革命老区，1998年再次设立村民委员会。[2]

村内的舆权黄氏宗祠位于黄自然村，清道光十八年（1838年）建，1980年至2003年间曾经维修。祠内存有清道光十八年《黄氏世系谱记》和《创造祖祠蒸尝碑》。[3]
