双东村是罗定市双东街道下辖的行政村，村名与当地的水系和地形有关。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村委会地处泷水之东，“泷”与“双”同音，故称双东。村址四周高起、中间低洼，状如铁锅；建村时全村人口同姓罗，因此得名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明朝末年，罗姓始祖从阳春河朗镇迁到罗秀自然村落户，这是本村最早的村落。[2]清朝初期，陈姓始祖从华石镇迁入柳树自然村。[2]
1912年设双东村，1958年公社化后改设双东大队，1986年撤乡后设立村委会，1998年5月恢复村民委员会名称。[2]
文化旅游[edit]
罗寨明经第在本村罗寨村，建于清乾隆年间，是一座民居式的宅第，列为「罗定市（县）级文物保护单位」。[1][3]
荣誉[edit]
2026年1月，双东村获评「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」。[1]2019年9月，双东村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
