新竹村是附城街道下辖的行政村，位于街道西部，属村庄类型。村名由新塘口与竹围两村各取一字而成。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

黄氏始祖文贵于明末从郁南迁来定居，此后程、温、黎等姓相继迁入，现村中有4姓，以黄姓为主。[2]

清代属西宁县常静都，民国时期先后隶郁南县榃滨乡、中良乡。1958年改隶罗定，1961年划入新乐公社。新乐镇于2003年10月撤销，村遂并入附城街道。[2]

荣誉[edit]

1993年，本村被评为革命老区。2019年9月，本村上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[2]
