附城街道在广东省云浮市罗定市北部，南面与罗城街道相接，东西两侧分别是双东街道和榃滨镇，北面与郁南县、广西岑溪市接壤。地名取“附城”二字，意为挨着罗定县城，当年街道办事处设在附城圩，名称就此而来。[1]

这里的行政建制曾多次更替：1986年称文塔镇，1993年复名附城镇，2009年11月挂牌为街道。罗定第一中学与罗定职业技术学院都设在街道范围内；平西陈氏祠堂、辛就和民宅等文物也在境内。[3][4][5][6]

历史沿革[edit]

万历四年（1576年）之前，塔脚、高峰、康任、星光、丰盛、同仁、罗溪、大旁街、平湾这九个村委会的地域属泷水县；到万历五年（1577年），改隶西宁县。民国时期它们仍归西宁县第六区，解放后则划入郁南县榃滨区。[2]

1958年，郁南与罗定并县，这片地方随之划归罗定，设榃滨公社。1961年分出榕枫公社，1963年榕枫与双东、城郊几处合并为附城公社；1964年双东重新单设公社。[3]

1983年8月，公社撤销，设立附城区；1986年11月区撤镇建，定名文塔镇。1988年4月，区屋、柑园、石围、细坑4个村转归罗城镇。1992年镇府迁往塔脚村，1993年10月恢复附城镇之名。[2][3]

2003年10月，新乐镇被并入附城。1994年7月，省民政厅同意撤去附城镇的建制，改为街道办事处，但直到2009年11月，本地仍以镇的名义办事。2009年11月15日，广东省政府批准将附城镇挂牌改为街道。[3][4]

地理环境[edit]

街道以丘陵为主，位于罗定红盆的边缘，又与云开大山的余脉相接，榃滨河流经境内。农田多靠引榃水利工程灌溉。[2][4]

气候类型为亚热带季风气候，年平均气温22℃。降水年均1400毫米，无霜期则有345天。[2][4]

经济[edit]

1979年以后，街道办起绣花、服装等来料加工厂，此后珠三角的产业陆续转入，电子企业随之进驻，工业逐渐成为本地主业。[2]

农业上，20世纪末至21世纪初建起以荔枝、芒果为主的水果基地，城郊则发展蔬菜种植和鱼塘养殖。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

平西陈氏祠堂在平西村委的西门口西三村。该祠建于清雍正年间，清代后期重修，1990年又修缮；为二路二进的硬山顶建筑。2011年2月14日公布为「第四批罗定市文物保护单位」。[5]

辛就和民宅位于平西村委竹围村，是一座清代民居，一路五进，各进之间以夹墙巷道相通。该宅被列为「罗城四大阳宅」之一，2011年2月14日公布为「罗定市第四批文物保护单位」。[6]

同仁村白庙位于同仁村委横榕村，明万历二十八年（1600年）始建，清乾隆十一年（1746年）重修，前有戏台，庙内存有23块记录罗定历史的石碑。1994年，它被公布为「罗定市第二批文物保护单位」。[7]

辑五罗公祠在新乐村罗屋寨，于清宣统年间（1909－1911年）落成，一路两进，门外两个坊门较有特色。2011年2月14日公布为「第四批罗定市文物保护单位」。[8]

同仁村委大埇村的大埇新屋建于民国二年（1912年），属「第五批罗定市（县）级文物保护单位」；同村委黄糯村的余氏香火厅为清代建筑，也列于这一批。[9][10]

荣誉[edit]

2004年，广东省科技厅将附城街道评为「广东省专业镇」，又授予「广东省电子配件特色产业基地」称号。[4]

2005年10月，附城镇进入「第一届全国文明村镇」名单；2009年1月，又进入「第二届全国文明村镇」名单。[1]
