西区社区因位于罗城旧城西部而得名[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1974年，此地设西区大队，归罗城公社管辖；1983年起改称居委会。1989年改为管理区，1993年起归罗定市罗城街道。1998年撤销管理区，居委会名称得以恢复，2002年3月定名为西区（社区）居民委员会[1]。

2019年9月，西区社区列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位名单」[1]。

文化[edit]

南门头大夫第为清中期建筑，又称老大夫第。坐西北向东南，分三路五进，进深47米，面阔22米，面积1034平方米[1]。
