马留村是历洞镇下辖的行政村，辖马留、莫屋、虾钳、三稔根、庙湾五个自然村。[1]
地名由来[edit]
相传村地昔日有外人骑马来扫墓，马匹糟蹋了庄稼，村人便扣下马匹，村因此得名。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
公社化时设马留生产大队；1983年改设乡人民政府；1987年改为村委会；1989年改为管理区办事处；1993年起隶历洞镇人民政府；1999年复称马留村民委员会。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，村庄上榜2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[2]
