里城村是历洞镇下辖的行政村，位于镇政府南面，辖中洞、和平、里城、尾冲、大窝尾五个自然村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1628年，莫道衡祖公自封开蕨村迁至连滩定居。1671年，莫氏从厂头串子坑迁到里城上屋，下屋的莫姓由大石迁来，其后曾、张两姓也迁入，莫姓占全村85%。[2]
1647年，莫道衡一支再迁到本地。[2]
民国时属七区裕义乡。1958年组建里城生产大队；1983年起设乡人民政府；1987年成为村委会；1989年一度为管理区办事处；1999年改回里城村民委员会的名称。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，村庄上榜2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[2]
