沙冲村在明万历五年（1577年）置东安县时属晋康都，此后隶属屡有变动。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代此处归粗石堡管辖。1912年至1949年间属云浮县第四区粗石乡。解放后，这里先是云浮七区之下的一个行政村，1953年改设乡，1958年变成生产大队，1961年归东坝人民公社。[1]

1983年划入东坝区公所，并设沙冲乡人民政府；1987年归东坝镇，改为村委会；1989年曾设沙冲区公所；1999年定名为沙冲村民委员会。[1]
