历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立前此地属建连乡。建国初便民行政村成立；1957年降为小乡，1958年称便民生产大队，1983年设便民乡人民政府。1987年划归建城镇人民政府，撤区后叫村委会；1989年成为管理区办事处，1999年恢复便民村民委员会的称呼，沿用至今。[1]
荣誉[edit]
农业部于2013年7月把便民村列为「第三批全国一村一品示范村镇」（郁南无核黄皮）。[1]
便民村在2019年12月被列入第二批「国家森林乡村」名单，发布机构为国家林业和草原局。[1]
2020年8月，便民村列入广东省农业农村厅公布的首批「广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」名单（无核黄皮）。[1]
2024年3月，便民村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」；同年4月，入选「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单。[1]
