罗旁社区因居委会驻地设在罗旁圩而得名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1952年成立居民委员会，其后1958年成为罗旁公社的水上大队；1986年起称罗旁镇下属的罗旁居委会；2001年以后成为社区，2003年9月起叫建城镇罗旁社区居委会，名称沿用至今。[2]
1952年隶属郁南县第二区，1958年归罗旁人民公社，1983年归罗旁区公所，1987年由罗旁镇人民政府管辖；2003年9月起属建城镇。[2]
1982年起居委会驻地设在罗旁沿江路6号。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，罗旁社区列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
