水台村是平台镇下辖的行政村，驻地在平台河西面一处地势较高的台地上，村前有山圳水环绕流过，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村内以李姓最早迁入。姓氏以梁、李为多，另有黎、欧、陈等姓。[1]
清代此地属十五都七堡平台甲，民国后归铜东乡管辖。1950年成立行政村，1983年设乡人民政府，1987年才改设村委会，其间曾设管理区，1999年又改为村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，水台村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
