夏卢村位于六祖镇西南部[2]。据博雅地名网，此地先有夏姓人家居住，后来卢氏始祖迁到这里，村名由此而来[1]。据新兴县政府材料，夏卢村是禅宗六祖惠能的诞生之地；博雅地名网的概况也称村中有六祖故居，为惠能的出生地[2][3]。

历史沿革[edit]

建国初，此地属新兴县第三区，称集成乡，之后短暂改属上沙区。1958年起设集成公社的夏卢大队，1983年后一度称夏卢乡，1989年成为集成镇的夏卢管理区，1999年改称夏卢村委会，2004年起属六祖镇[1]。

经济[edit]

2020年8月，夏卢村以水果产业入选「首批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」[1]。2023年4月，夏卢村列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位[1]。2026年1月，夏卢村获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」[1]。
