西睦社区位于六祖镇境内，辖区内的水湄村有叶季壮故居。“西睦”之名寓意大家和睦相处、互助互爱，据博雅地名网，取其构建和谐社会之意[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1949年此地划为一区，名为西睦乡；1957年改归南平区，名称未变。同年4月起属船岗乡，1958年并入集成公社，成为西睦大队，之后随公社建制几经调整。1986年11月设船岗镇西睦管理区，1999年成立西睦社区居民委员会；2003年时仍属集成镇，2004年起隶六祖镇[2]。

名胜古迹[edit]

叶季壮故居位于水湄村，博雅地名网称其建于清代，坐东向西，是“三间两廊”格局的岭南传统民居，也是被称为「红管家」的叶季壮的诞生之所[3]。据六祖镇政府材料，故居已列入第十批省文物保护，村中还建有以故居为中心的红色教育基地[4]。
