五联村的名称来自五楞根、大岭排、阿罗、山根等自然村联合组成的村落。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村的开基可追溯到清初：梁氏、温氏先人及张、李、刘三姓先人，于顺治元年（约1644年至1647年）前后，先后在甜良坑、石头冲、洞心等地建村定居。[1][3]

清朝中后期，范、李、莫、成、陈、黄等姓先人也陆续到来，在密洞、五楞根、山根、马仔、大岭排和阿罗等处落脚建村。此后古、赵、江、罗、钟、曾六姓迁来，分居马仔、大岭排、落地㙟、阿罗、石头冲与洞心。[1][3]

如今村中姓氏有17个，主要为梁、古、张、温、李、伍等姓。[1][3]

1949年10月起至1955年，村隶属新兴县第一区；此后至1958年11月，改属南平区。1958年12月起划归簕竹公社，1963年设为五联大队，这一建制一直延续到1983年11月。1983年12月至1989年6月，村一度为簕竹区公所辖下的五联乡；1989年7月转由簕竹镇管理，设五联管理区；1999年3月起设五联村民委员会。[1][2][3]

2019年9月，村上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
