里洞镇坐落于新兴县南端，与开平、恩平、阳春交界，离新兴县城约三十公里，新恩公路（省道276线）从镇域中穿过。境内天露山主峰高1251米，据2025年12月政府网站，全镇森林覆盖率为84.29%。里洞镇是广东省革命老区镇，近年以“生态旅游强镇”为发展思路。[1][2]

地名与历史沿革[edit]

镇名旧称「里坷」，因地处山区中一处小盆地而得名。[4]

明代此地隶属新兴县仁丰都，清末划归第三区。1949年10月此地进入第四区。1955年，第四区更名公平区，辖内设有包括里洞在内的13个乡。1958年，里洞乡与合河乡合为里洞公社，1961年又分成两个公社。1983年设里洞区，1987年3月区改为乡，1993年2月里洞乡改设为镇。[4][5]

自然地理[edit]

镇域辖区面积为108.7平方公里（政府网站，2026年）；博雅地名网与百度百科所载为128平方公里，此处以政府网站的数字为准。全镇设一个社区与七个村委会，自然村共64条，村民小组82个。[1][4][5]

境内矿产有石英石、钾长石、高岭土等，贮量据政府网站超过2亿吨。里洞河水质达到Ⅱ类标准（2026年政府网站）。[1]

天露山[edit]

天露山处于新兴县与开平、恩平、阳春三市的交界地带，主峰海拔1251米，博雅地名网称其为新兴县第一高峰。[4][6]

镇内的天露山旅游度假区为国家4A级旅游景区。红色教育基地包括存养书室、红色印记馆等，另有20余家精品民宿。[1]

物产[edit]

里洞番石榴、里洞西洋菜两种产品获评「全国特质农品」。镇内另出产高山云雾茶，并有青梅、番薯、荔枝、枇杷和豆制品，镇域还是粤菜师傅之乡。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2023年，里洞镇获评「广东省乡村治理示范镇」与「云浮市卫生镇」。此前另曾获广东省休闲农业与乡村旅游示范镇的称号，并在云浮市美丽圩镇创建竞赛中得优秀奖。「醉美天露，多彩里洞」线路在2022年被列为国家级旅游精品线路。2024年列入广东省文化和旅游特色镇的入库级名单；2025年列入省典型镇培育名单，之后通过全省第三批「百千万工程」典型镇评定。[1][2][3]
