东瑶村为东成镇下辖的行政村，村名的来由是村民多为瑶族。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年东瑶一带属二区东成乡，1950年5月改称东利乡，属新兴县第二区。1953年划入稔村区；1958年2月回属东成乡，同年11月起以东瑶大队之名归稔村公社，1961年9月复归东成人民公社。1983年11月设东瑶乡，1986年11月改设东瑶管理区，1999年改为东瑶村民委员会，沿用至今。东瑶村在2024年3月公布的2023年广东省卫生村名单之列。[2][1]
