安塘街道位于广东省云浮市云城区南部，驻地在夏洞圩，是云城区的一个街道。[1][3]

辖区面积，博雅地名网载约84.6平方千米，百度百科载为82.5平方千米；按第七次全国人口普查，街道人口为2.26万人。[1][3]

清同治年间这里属东安县，设安塘堡与夏洞堡；1986年起称安塘镇，1994年转为街道。[2][3]

地理环境[edit]

街道的中心点在北纬22°53′、东经112°11′附近，地势以海拔不足300米的丘陵和山间河谷为主，此类地形约占总面积的四成。[2][3]

气候属亚热带季风气候，年平均气温21.6℃。主要河流为安塘河，矿产有花岗岩、硫铁矿和高岭土。[2]

博雅地名网列出的接壤地区有新兴县车岗镇、思劳镇、都杨镇与河口街道；百度百科则写明东面与思劳镇、腰古镇相接，北面与云安区都杨镇相接。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

清同治年间此地隶东安县，境内设有安塘、夏洞两个堡。1926年起改隶云浮县，堡改为乡。[2][3]

1958年，安塘乡与夏洞乡先并为夏洞乡，同年9月这一乡又并入腰古乡，10月则归激流公社。1961年，夏洞公社从中分出；次年公社易名为安塘公社。1983年置安塘区。[2]

驻地搬到夏洞圩的时间是1994年3月，街道之名则于同年4月启用，在此之前的1986年已称安塘镇。[2][3]

地名的来历有两种说法：一说此地丘陵、山岗与低洼处的水塘相连，祖辈在水塘间安居，因而得名；一说因街道办事处驻地安塘圩而得名。[2]
