马岗社区位于云城街道的城区范围内，名称来自原居委会驻地马岗山南麓的山脚。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1986年，原属云城镇的一个老居委会分为东、南、西、北四个居委会。2005年4月，经云城区民政局批复，原西区改为马岗社区居民委员会，此后一直属云城街道。[1]
