龙兴村在镇西南的山区里，泥土村道接到安池公路，天晴时越野车可通。[1]

村内由8个自然村组成。村民以种植青榄、青梅、杨桃和水稻为主，年轻人大多外出打工经商。[1]

2003年石牌镇撤销后，龙兴村由里湖镇管辖。[1]

2019年12月，龙兴村被列为「第一批国家森林乡村」；2024年3月，村子获评「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
