边围村由竹仔径、乌石洋、下围和曹塘四个自然村组成，清道光年间有本镇居民迁来定居。村内产大梨、橄榄、青梅和菠萝。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1978年，数个自然村合并组成边围大队。1987年改设边围村委会，1989年改设管理区，1999年又改为村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，边围村上榜2018年「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
