梅林镇位于普宁市西部的南阳山区，1986年建镇，下辖一个居民社区和三十六个行政村。[1][2]

镇内以水稻、番薯和水果为主要农产，青梅、橄榄等果林较多，也产中药材。梅林铁核是镇内的特色优势产业，涉及种植、加工和销售。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

建制上，梅林先于1957年设乡，1958年一度并入南阳山公社，1961年又独立成公社，1983年改为区，1986年建镇。[1] 2003年，南阳乡撤销，其所辖村庄并入梅林镇管辖。[5]

经济[edit]

梅林铁核的种植、加工与销售是镇内的主要特色。2025年11月，镇人大、团委和镇人才驿站组织了一期铁核电商培训，课程涉及网店运营、短视频和直播带货等内容。[3]

2019年10月，梅林镇被省农业农村厅认定为广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业镇。[4]

荣誉[edit]

2026年9月，梅林镇经省复核，列入省「百千万工程」第三批典型镇名单。[6]

2026年2月的通报显示，普宁第二批典型村均已获省级认定，梅林镇中段村在其中。[7]

名胜古迹[edit]

  • 盘龙阁寺的寺址在镇东南的龙师岗，始建于清光绪年间，即公元1875年至1909年之间；寺分上下两庵，为普宁市文物保护单位。[8][9]
  • 西林古寺位于南阳山中脐，始建于清康熙年间，为普宁市文物保护单位，寺内存有明代铁锂木圣筶、陨石香炉等文物。[10][11]
  • 十九烈士墓（梅林）在梅光村的埔顶下，年代为1950年，为普宁市文物保护单位，属近现代重要史迹。[12][13]
